Software Program
Programming tasks and the handling, manipulation and processing of data can take a large variety of forms. At one end of the spectrum this may involve the analysis of data within existing programs with the focus of the assessment being on the interpretation of results. Or, it may involve students making alterations to provided code rather than constructing ‘software’ from scratch. Or, it may involve programming skills and the creation of new software with a particular end product in mind. These examples are not exhaustive. Each of these variants will vary in complexity and size dependent on the level of study and the relative weighting of the assessment within the programme or module.
