The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) is the independent body entrusted with monitoring and advising on standards and quality in UK higher education.
QAA Institutional Review
Institutional Review is the process by which the QAA judges standards and quality, across all provision, in universities in England and Northern Ireland. The outcome is very important in terms of confirming the quality and standards of teaching and learning activities. It also provides a valuable opportunity for institutions to gain insights and feedback from the independent QAA team.
University of Lincoln Institutional Review
We are pleased to note the excellent outcome from the the latest (2012) Institutional Review of the University by the QAA.
In the four areas where formal judgments are given, the report confirms that:
- The academic standards of the University’s awards meet UK expectations for threshold standards
- The quality of student learning opportunities meets UK expectations
- The enhancement of student learning opportunities is commended
- The quality of the University’s information about learning opportunities meets UK expectations.
This excellent result is a clear endorsement of the hard work that takes place across the University to maintain and improve learning and teaching.
